Imperial Holdings announced the acquisition of RTT Health Sciences on 9 January 2013 – creating Imperial Health Sciences.
Within the Group, Imperial Health Sciences is a division of Imperial Consumer Products which in turn is part of Imperial Logistics. Imperial is diversified into industrial services and retail. Activities span logistics, car rental, tourism, financial services, vehicle distribution & retail, automotive parts and industrial products distribution.
After modest origins as a car dealership in Johannesburg in 1948, the Imperial of today is a multinational group, listed on the JSE under the share code IPL in the Industrial Transportation Sector. While its main operations are in South Africa, the Group’s operational focus includes the rest of Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Australia.
