Lina holds both a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from McGill University. This allows her to assist clients with both common law and Quebec civil law considerations as they intersect with a wide range of intellectual property matters, from drafting contractual agreements in intellectual property and technology to ensuring regulatory compliance in the health and pharmaceutical field.

Lina also has expertise in intellectual property development strategy and protection in a cross-border context, namely through trademark prosecution and brand portfolio development. She assists companies of all sizes in protecting their trademarks by providing strategic counselling for the management of their intellectual property assets.

Lina was very involved and active throughout her degree at McGill. She was the president of the McGill Intellectual Property Law Student Association and managed clubs and student services for two consecutive years at the Law Students’ Association. She also engaged in advocacy for diversity and inclusion, which earned her the McGill Centre culturel islamique de Québec memorial award.
