Pharmig – the association of the Austrian pharmaceutical industry – is a voluntary, party-politically independent professional organisation of the pharmaceutical industry in Austria.
Its 120 member companies with approx. 10,000 employees represent nearly 100 percent of the domestic medicinal product market.
Driven by its understanding of the pharmaceutical industry’s social responsibility, Pharmig promotes quality and security of supply in the healthcare system while remaining committed to strengthening Austria‘s role as a pharmaceutical and research location.
As a recognised and competent systemic partner, Pharmig uses its expertise to support decision makers in healthcare. In so doing, Pharmig demands fair, reliable and predictable framework conditions for the pharmaceutical industry.
The principal objective of the Association and the pharmaceutical industry‘s business activities is to promote the discerning use of drugs in order to improve the health status of each and everyone living in Austria.
