Founded in 1993 in Augsburg, betapharm generics (sells patent medicines) and is one of the leading generic companies in Germany. In March 2004 betapharm was sold to the British financial investor 3i. Since March 2006 betapharm belongs to the international pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, headquartered in Hyderabad, India.
The product range of betapharm includes over 150 active ingredients in over 900 commercial forms and covers all major indications of the common cold to severe cardiovascular disease. In the case of prescription medicines focuses on the areas of cardiovascular, neurology and pain / palliative. The treatment of pain is also in the non-prescription drugs from betapharm in focus.
