Oncology, renal diseases, and bone and joint diseases are positioned as Chugai’s strategic areas. In 2012 Chugai will spend some S$200 million on antibody research in Singapore over the next five years. To set up Chugai Pharmabody Research to develop antibody drugs for cancer treatment and other diseases. This is the firm’s second satellite research institute in Singapore.
