In 1999, steps were taken to establish an affiliate office in the Philippines with the vision of making Novo Nordisk a market leader in its areas of expertise. In June 30, 1999, the Philippine Office was finally able to obtain approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission to operate as an independent Pharmaceutical Company.
