Pharmactive is Turkey’s newest pharma major, rapidly rising through the rankings since the company’s foundation was laid in February 2011, with an investment of over USD 200 million. With this investment, the first phase of a giant new production facility was completed, with 42 500 square meters of enclosed space and a capacity of 330 million units; phase two will develop an additional 80 000 square meters, taking production to over 550 million units, and ranking as one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in Europe.
The facility is built to international standards and is equipped with the most advanced building management system in the world. In February 2015, Germany’s Ministry of Health, BfArM, gave the facility European GMP certification.
