Ajay Mahipal is the Co-Founder and General Partner at HealthKois, brings over two decades of experience in investment management, corporate finance, and healthcare transformation. Over the course of his career, he has worked across global organizations including EY, American Express, Pepsi, Patni Family Office, and Amazon–Patni JV, leading fund-raising, deal sourcing, execution, portfolio management, and exit strategies that have shaped some of India’s most innovative healthcare and consumer ventures. His leadership has consistently bridged strategic vision with operational excellence, making him one of the leading voices in healthcare investing in India.
Before co-founding HealthKois, he played a pivotal role at HealthQuad, where he was promoted to Managing Director and later Partner for his strong leadership and deep sectoral expertise. He was instrumental in building India’s first dedicated healthtech fund—CURRAE Healthtech Fund—while also scaling CURRAE Single Speciality Hospitals. At HealthKois, he drives investment strategy and founder engagement, focusing on early growth-stage ventures that combine financial scalability with measurable societal impact. Beyond healthcare, he has overseen notable investments in NSE, BSE, Wow! Momo, Mosaic Wellness, GoKwik, Mokobara, and Captain Fresh, reflecting his expertise across sectors. A graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce and IIM Lucknow, and a Chartered Accountant by training, Ajay combines financial discipline with entrepreneurial vision.
