The Top 20 companies on the 2021 Access to Medicines Index ranked on governance of access, research and development, and product delivery indices. Compiled by the Access to Medicine Foundation, the report measures how well the largest 20 global Big Pharma companies are making drugs and vaccines accessible to low- and middle-income countries, which account for 83 percent of the world’s population. GSK takes the top spot for the seventh consecutive year, although its lead has been cut by second-placed Novartis. J&J sits in third position.
